Seoul's Pink Paradise: Namsan Cherry Blossom Travel Guide

Seoul's Pink Paradise: Namsan Cherry Blossom Travel Guide

We invite you to Namsan, the place where you can experience the most romantic spring in the heart of Seoul. Every year in early April, Namsan is covered in white and pink cherry blossoms, creating a fairytale-like landscape amidst the city.

Why Namsan?

The Longest Cherry Blossom Path in Seoul: The path along the Namsan Circular Road is one of the longest walking trails in Seoul. Walking under the endless tunnel of flowers will be an unforgettable memory.

Harmony of City and Nature: The view of Seoul's modern skyline and the N Seoul Tower seen through the vibrant blossoms is the ultimate photo spot for photographers and travelers.

Easy Accessibility: You can take a leisurely stroll on foot, enjoy the flowers from the sky on the Namsan Cable Car, or travel conveniently using the eco-friendly circular bus.

Recommended Course

"Namsan South Side Circular Road Walking Course"

Start: In front of the National Theater of Korea

Finish: N Seoul Tower

Walk along the gentle slope of about 2–3 km and welcome the "cherry blossom rain." The cherry trees lining both sides of the path will greet you all the way.

Best Photo Spots

  1. In Front of Namsan Library: A spot where you can feel Korean beauty as the cherry blossoms blend with the historic fortress walls.

  2. N Seoul Tower Observatory: The panoramic view of the pink-tinted Namsan from above is spectacular.

  3. Love Locks Deck: If you're with a loved one, take a romantic photo with the locks against the backdrop of cherry blossoms.

Tips for Travelers

Best Time to Visit: Peak bloom is usually between the first and second week of April. (Check the blooming dates as they vary each year based on temperature!)

Comfortable Shoes: You'll be walking more than you think, so comfortable sneakers are a must.

Visit at Night: After sunset, the illuminated cherry blossoms create a dreamy atmosphere different from the daytime. Enjoy the night view of Seoul and the flowers simultaneously.

Prepare Snacks: There are many benches along the trail. Bring light drinks or snacks to enjoy "Kkot-gu-gyeong" (flower viewing) under the trees.

Spring in Seoul is short but intense. This spring, we hope you take home the warmth of the season along with the best photos of your life at Namsan!
